PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the Impugned Notice dated 18.02.2023 issued by the 2nd Respondent to mark Petitioner account No. 50100121356042 as "No Debit" based on the letter issued by the 1st respondent on 06.02.2023 and quash the same and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to lift the "No Debit" of Petitioner's bank Account and allow normal operations of 1/4

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned notice dated 18.02.2023 issued by the 2nd respondent and for a consequential direction to defreeze the bank account of the petitioner maintained in the 2nd respondent Bank. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the Bank account of the petitioner was freezed on 18.05.2023 and the same was also intimated to the learned Special Judge under the TNPID Act, Chennai on the very same day. The relevant document was also placed before this Court. 3.In view of the above, it is clear that the respondent police has followed the mandate under Section 102 of Cr.P.C. If the petitioner wants the Bank account to be defreezed, the petitioner has to necessarily file an application before the concerned Court and workout his remedy in accordance with law. 2/4
