ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents police to provide police protection to the petitioners' life and property against the third respondent, on the basis of the complaint dated 13.10.2022.

2. The learned counsel for the Petitioners submitted that the petitioners filed a suit in O.S.No.143 of 2022 for partition against the third respondent before the Subordinate Court, Chengam and in that suit, interim injunction was granted in favour of the petitioners. Inspite of that, the third respondent is making attempt to carry out construction works. Therefore, the petitioners gave a complaint on 13.10.2022 before the second respondent seeking police protection. But it was not considered. Hence the petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the complaint given by the petitioners dated 13.10.2022 is available with the second respondent and the authorities concerned will consider the same and take necessary action. 2/4

Recording the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), the second respondent is directed to consider the complaint of the petitioners dated 13.10.2022 and to pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. No costs.
