The present petition is the second anticipatory bail application in connection with Crime No.246 of 2025, registered on 09.05.2025. 1/3

2. The F.I.R. indicates that the petitioner, along with others, was in the habit of collecting "rowdy mamool" at knife-point and, on the date of occurrence, had extracted a sum of Rs.3,500/- from the de facto complainant.

3. The earlier bail petition was dismissed on 19.06.2025. Till date, the police have not secured the petitioner/accused. Only one of the accused has been arrested and detained under Section 14 of 1982, while the others, including the present petitioner, are absconding.

4. Considering the nature of the crime and the antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail.
