ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to accord permission for the conduct of Adal Padal Programme during the temple festival of Arulmigu Nithya Sumangali Mariyamman Koil Thiruvizha, Rasipuram, Namakkal District on 12.11.2016 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 05.11.2016 and to provide necessary police protection.

It is seen that the petitioner made a representation dated 05.11.2016 to the respondent police seeking permission for the conduct of Adal Padal Programme in connection with the temple festival of Arulmigu Nithya Sumangali Mariyamman Koil Thiruvizha, Rasipuram, Namakkal District and for police protection.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that no obscene dance programme should be allowed to be performed in the name of cultural programme.

4. Considering the facts & circumstances of the case, based on the petitioner's representation, the respondent police shall make inquiries with all the stake holders, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

including the rival parties, if any, and pass appropriate orders either granting permission or refusing to grant permission depending upon the law and order situation in the locality. If permission is granted, at any cost, the programme should not be allowed to be conducted beyond 10.00 p.m. on 12.11.2016 and the programme should not have any indecent items.

5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
