Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, 1950, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to issue a revised pension as per G.O. Ms. No. 64 Finance (Pay Cell) Department dated 26.02.2011 with effect from 31.05.2008 and consequently pay arrears of pension to the Petitioner arising out of revision of pension.

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner states that the Petitioner has died after the filing of the Writ Petition, and his legal heirs have not contacted him for further prosecution of the matter. He has also made an endorsement to that effect in the court record.

In fine, the Writ Petition is dismissed as abated. However, it would not preclude the legal representatives of the deceased Petitioner to apply for revival of the Writ Petition in accordance with law. No costs.
