This writ petition has been filed for direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner for selection and admission to MBBS/ BDS degree course in Tamil Nadu Government Medical / Dental Colleges 2025-26 Session under Persons with Benchmark Disability category based on the marks secured in National entrance cum Eligibility 2/4

Test- Under Graduate-2025 in consideration of representation submitted by the petitioner through e-mail 2.

Pending this writ petition, the petitioner was referred before Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate and Medical Education & Research for medical assessment in respect of his disability. Accordingly, he has been assessed with disability to the tune of nearly 40 % as per report dated 13.08.2025(date has been wrongly mentioned as 13.08.2028 in the report). As such, he is eligible to be considered under the category of 'person with disability'. Accordingly, he was considered and he joined in the Kilpauk Medical College. As such, the direction sought for in this writ petition has been complied with.

Accordingly, this writ petition stands allowed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
