O R D E R

The petitioner herein got married with one Mahalakshmi as his second wife after converting her into Islam religion is before this Court seeking protection from police harassment under the guise of investigating the complaint given by the father of Mahalakshmi.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submits that the complaint against this petitioner is in respect of forcible conversion and illegal marriage. The said facts has to be investigated in the manner known to law. However, the petitioner is not cooperating with the investigation.

3. Taking note of the fact that admittedly the petitioner herein is married a Hindu lady after converting her into Islam and the said marriage is the second marriage . The father of the girl being aggrieved, has given a complaint.

4. It is necessary to investigate whether it was voluntary conversion and marriage or not, since facts indicates that the said Mahalakshmi was 2/4

an employee under this petitioner in his shop. Therefore, the prayer seeking protection from harassment does not arising in this case.

5. The petitioner has to participate in the investigation to ascertain whether the conversion as well as marriage is valid or it is a case of abduction and other offences. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
