By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2.The petitioner would state that her father viz., K.Palanisamy was employed as a Helper in the service of then Tamil Nadu Electricity Board which is now as Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd., (TANGEDCO) and he died in harness on 26.04.1999 leaving behind his father, his mother, his wife and the petitioner (daughter). According to
the petitioner, her father was the sole source of livelihood and on account of his demise, the entire family has been put to great difficultly and hardship. The petitioner would further state that at the time of the demise of her father, she was aged about six years and her mother submitted a representation for compassionate appointment on 20.07.2000. But the same was rejected stating that it could not be considered as her mother was only II Standard qualification whereas the minimum educational qualification required is IV Standard. The petitioner after passing of X standard, submitted an application seeking compassionate appointment to the third respondent during the month of September 2010 and in regard to the same, she has also made a representation dated 16.07.2016 to the first respondent. Despite the same, no action has been forthcoming from the respondents. Hence, she has come forward with the present writ petition.
3.Heard the submissions of Mr.M.Muthupandian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and also Mr.P.R.Dilip Kumar, learned counsel who accepts notice for the respondents 1 to 3.
4.This Court, in the light of the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits projected by the petitioner either in the petition or in the representation, directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.07.2016 and dispose of the same in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of ten weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. 5.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
