Respondents Petition under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 to punish the respondents for wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Court dated 23.03.2016 made in W.P.No.10848 of 2016.

ORDER

This contempt petition has been filed alleging that the respondents have not paid the entire money to the petitioner.

2. After taking instructions, the learned standing counsel for the respondents has filed a calculation memo dated 18.3.2019 showing the details of the payments made through various cheques and stated that the contempt petition may be closed.

3. Since the interest part also, as claimed, has been paid by the respondents and the details of payments made through various cheques have been provided in the calculation memo, a copy thereof has also been served on the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, accepting the calculation memo to the effect that the entire amount has been fully paid, is not inclined to keep the contempt petition pending. Therefore, the contempt petition stands closed. However, it is open to the petitioner to approach the Labour Court, if he is so

advised, with regard to the interest/Dearness Allowance dues, if any.
