This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to defreeze the petitioner's bank account bearing savings account No.3237123035 in Central Bank of India, Ennore branch, Chennai.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.
3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the first and second respondents/Bank that based on the complaint lodged by the victim, the third respondent Police made a request to the respondents Bank to defreeze the petitioner's account. Based on the request made by the third respondent police only, the first and second respondents Bank have defreezed the petitioner's account.
4. In view of the same, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief as sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. However, the petitioner is at liberty to workout his remedy in the manner known to law.
