Heard the Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the Learned Additional Government Pleader for the Respondents.

2. This Court in W.P.No.26858 of 2019, dated 26.09.2019, (S.Lazer Vs. The Regional Transport Officer, Tirupur District), has held that, the Driving License cannot be withhold perpetually without initiating action.

3. From the communication of the 2nd respondent/Regional Transport Officer, Tindivanam, it appears that the driving License of the petitioner was seized on 09.09.2019 but till date, no action has been taken.

4. In the light of the judgment passed in S.Lazer Vs. The Regional Transport Officer, Tirupur District, the 2nd respondent is hereby directed to return driving license of the petitioner forthwith and proceed against the petitioner if necessary, as per law.

5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
