COMMON PRAYER: Criminal Original Petitions have been filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to direct the Respondents No.2 & 3 for not to harass the petitioners and their family members.

COMMON ORDER These criminal original petitions have been filed to direct the Respondent Nos.2 & 3 for not to harass the petitioners and their family members.

2.The petitioner in Crl.O.P.No.26040 of 2021, against whom, two FIR in Crime Nos.38 of 2021 & 41 of 2021 have been registered on 21.10.2021 & 02.11.2021 respectively by the District Crime Branch, Viullupuram. The petitioner has cheated several persons to the tune of 1,18,80,000/- along with others. After cheating those persons, now he had filed IP petition and taking shelter under the same, stating that he has got no money to settle.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that for the purpose of investigation, the petitioner is needed and the petitioner has cheated several persons.

4.As regard Crl.O.P.No.25967 of 2021, the petitioners are brother-in-laws of Thangapandi, who is the petitioner in Crl.O.P.No.26040 of 2021. In view of the same, the petitioners are needed for enquiry. In respect of the same, they were called and enquired and now, it has been termed as harassment. 5.Finding that two cases have been registered against Thangapandi, huge sum of money has been cheated and misappropriated by Thangapandi along with the others, hence, the petitioners are needed for enquiry. In view of the same, the petitioners are to appear before the respondent police viz., District Crime Branch, Villupuram and cooperate with the enquiry. Accordingly, the criminal original petitions are disposed of.
