O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register a case and investigate the complaint dated 07.01.2016 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Porto Nova Police station, Cuddalore District and proceed further in accordance with law.

2. The petitioner has lodged a complaint against one Suresh Babu, Robert and Suresh for the offence under sections 406, 420 and 379 IPC. Since no action has been taken so far, the present petition has been filed.

3. When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on receipt of the complaint given by the petitioner, CSR No.3/2016 has been assigned.

4. Since CSR number has been assigned on the complaint given by the petitioner, this Court directs the respondent police to conduct an enquiry on the complaint dated 07.01.2016 (CSR.No.3/2016) given by the petitioner and upon enquiry, if materials are gathered indicating commission of any cognizable offence, he is directed to proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible, following the decision laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari Vs. Government of Uttarpradesh and Others reported in (2014) 2 SCC 1.
