O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash Crime No.50 of 2017 registered on 2/3/2017 pending on the file of the respondent Police.

2. Heard Mr.Vaibhav R.Venkatesh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, Mr.S.Vinoth Kumar, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) for the first respondent and Mr.R.Palaniandavan, learned counsel for the second respondent.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the parties have arrived at an amicable settlement of the disputes. He has also produced Memorandum of Understanding entered into between the parties.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the second respondent submitted that the second respondent is having no objection in quashing the FIR, in Crime No.50 of 2017, dated 2/3/2017, pending on the file of the CCB-I Police, Chennai.

5. On a perusal of the Memorandum of Understanding filed by the petitioners, settlement arrived between the parties is reduced into writing in the Memorandum of Understanding. Therefore, there is no point in allowing the parties to face the investigation or ordeal of trial. Hence, this Court is inclined to quash the First Information Report.

6. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed. F.I.R in Crime No.50 of 2017, dated 2/3/2017, pending on the file of the CCB-I Police, Chennai is quashed. Memorandum of Understanding entered into between the parties shall form part of the records. Consequently, connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
