ORDER
By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the time of admission itself.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that the respondents demolished the house belonging to the petitioner with the assurance that they will renovate the same with a new one, without seeking any contribution from him. However, without providing any basic amenities viz., electricity connection, water connection, the respondents handed over the house to the petitioner. Thereafter, he approached the respondents seeking No Objection Certificate for getting the aforesaid basic amenities by way of representation, dated 18.06.2025, which has not been considered, till date. Hence this writ petition.
3. Heard the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.
4. Though very many grounds have been raised in the above writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's 2/4
representation dated 18.06.2025 and pass orders on merits within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. However, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 and 3 would submit that the petitioner has to pay the beneficiary amount to the respondent / Slum Clearance Board and only on such payment, the 3rd respondent will conduct enquiry and pass orders on merits. Therefore, she prays that this Court may issue appropriate directions in the above regard.
6. Considering the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.06.2025 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. This writ petition is disposed of with the aforesaid directions. No costs.
