Prayer: Contempt Petition is filed under Section 11 of Contempt of Courts Act praying to punish the respondent herein for willful disobedience of the order dated 12.04.2019 passed by this Hon'ble Court in Crl.O.P.No.10057 of 2019.

O R D E R

This Contempt petition has been filed for the disobedience of the order dated 12.04.2019 passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.10057 of 2019. Therefore, this Court 1/3

has directed the respondent police to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.25 of 2019 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the order copy. The respondent filed a status report as follows:

"9. I submit that so far the investigation reveals that (i) 5 years ago, the chit amount paid by the defacto complainant and his daughter and grand daughter had been matured and the said amount of Rs.15.75 lakhs has not been repaid by the accused/Srinivasan . 5 years ago, the chits were matured, even though the defacto complainant have in continuous contacted with the accused to settle the matured chits amounts, but he has given evasive reply.

(ii) When the said occurrence was known to his grand son Tr.Dhilipkumar, he questioned about the non settlement of matured chit amount, the accused abused him in filthy and unparliamentary words and also stated that "there is no connection with regard to chit amount and was not able to settled the matured chit amount and asked his grandson to do whatever he can"".

2. Considering the above facts and circumstances, one more month time is extended to complete the investigation and to file a final report in Crime No.25/2019, from the date of receipt of a copy of this 2/3

order.

3. With the above direction, the contempt petition stands disposed of. No costs.
