The petitioner seeks direction to register a criminal case as against her husband based on her complaint dated 04.3.2016.

2. Heard both sides.

3. Petitioner had married one Parasuraman. The couples were blessed with children. It is the grievance of the petitioner that her husband took extra wife/woman. Petitioner has also initiated proceedings under Domestic Violence Act. It is pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Poonamalle in M.C.No.2 of 2016. committed criminal offences, however, the third respondent police is not taking any effective steps.

In the circumstances, the Principal District Judge/Chairman Legal Services Authority, Tiruvellore will issue notice to both sides and mediate in this matter and take further necessary action as per law. The result of the mediation shall be reported to the member Secretary, Tamil Nadu State Legal Services Authority, Chennai
