ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent police to execute the conviction warrant issued by the trial court in CC No.3108 of 2024 against the 5th respondent. 2/6

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he has lodged a complaint under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instrument Act in C.C.No.3108 of 2019 on the file of the III Fast Track Court Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai 15.

3. The trial ended in conviction,sentencing the 5th respondent to undergo six months simple imprisonment and further directing him to pay the cheque amount of Rs.7,00,000/- as compensation, vide order dated 08.11.2023.

4. Pursuant thereto, a conviction warrant was issued, however, the same has not been executed till date. Hence, the present petition has been filed.

5. The learned Government Advocate (crl. Side) appearing for the respondents, would submit that the conviction warrant will be executed expeditiously.

6. Considering the submission of the learned Government Advocate (crl.side), this Court directs the 2ndrespondent police to execute the warrant as expeditiously as possible, in accordance with law. 3/6

7. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
