PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records connected with the order of the 2nd respondent herein in Memo No.826/BCDFGISSSV/2024 dated 09.08.2024 passed against the petitioner's son/detenu namely Manikandan @ Appu @ Andrews son of Ramu, aged about 34 years, as a "GOONDA", who is confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai - 600 066 and set aside the same and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the body and person of the detenu before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) Mr.E.Raj Thilak, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that the impugned order of detention has already been revoked by the competent Authority vide G.O.Rt.No.6878, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIII) Department dated 30.09.2024.

Thus, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken and the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
