2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the term of the President, the petitioner herein, got over on 05.01.2025. Hence, nothing survives in this writ petition for further adjudication, and the prayer has become infructuous.

In view of the above submission, the writ petition stands dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
