Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd Respondent herein to correct the Survey Number in pattta No.1588 issued by the 3rd Respondent as 248 instead of 249/1 situated in Thandoorai Village, Avadi Taluk, Thiruvallur District pursuant to the representation dated 20.09.2022 and pass orders.

ORDER

By consent of both the parties this writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner has filed this writ petition to consider his representation dated 20.09.2022.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner inherited the subject property from his father and the petitioner applied for changing the patta to his name from his father name. Thereafter the 3rd respondent issued patta wherein the Survey Number was mentioned as 248/1 and for the very same property the patta issued by the 2nd respondent the Survey No. was mentioned as 249/1. The discrepancies in the Survey No. was due to the formation of new Avadi Taluk. Hence the petitioner made a representation regarding the issue to the first respondent on 25.11.2021 who inturn forwarded the same to the 3rd respondent herein. Thereafter the petitioner again sent a remainder to the 3rd Respondent on 20.09.2022. However the same was not considered. Hence this petition.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would be

suffice if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 20.09.2022 and pass appropriate orders within a reasonable time fixed by this Court.

5. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer that is now sought for in this writ petition before this Court and taking into account the submissions made on either side, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.09.2022 and pass orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above observations this writ petition stands disposed of. No order as to costs.
