Crl.O.P.No.26047 of 2022 A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA, J., The petitioner, who apprehends arrest for the alleged offences under Section 7(3) of Lotteries Regulation Act and Section 420 of IPC in Crime No.221 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that while the defacto complainant is on patrol duty A1 is selling the banned lottery tickets, on seeing the police party ran away and the arrested accused was found in possession of 15lottery tickets. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case based on the confession recorded from the arrested accused. Therefore, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (crl.side) would submit that the petitioner is a named accused, the petitioner is supplying the banned lotteries to the A1 and others. He would submit that 19 previous cases of similar nature are pending against the petitioner. He would also submit that the case is under investigation. Hence, he vehemently oppose to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Taking into consideration the submission so made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) that the petitioner is having 19 previous cases of similar nature, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
