O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to pass orders on the representation dated 19.07.2016 seeking revival for No Objection Certificate, in accordance with Rule 144(1) of Petroleum Rules 2002.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that in spite of the petitioner's representation dated 19.07.2016 the First respondent has not disposed of the same yet.

3. Mrs.D.Reena Iswariya, learned Additional Government Pleader taking notice for the first respondent, submitted that the first respondent may be directed to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders, in accordance with law, after giving notice to the second respondent.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.07.2016, after giving notice to the second respondent and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
