ORDER
The Petitioner, who apprehends arrest for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 126(2), 296(b), 125, 309(4), 311, 351(3) of BNS, 2023, in Crime No.266 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of prosecution is that while the defacto complainant was running a transport business, he went to meet one of his friends to give him some money. When he reached near Ponneri Vellakuppam on 10.07.2025, at around 6.45 hours, the petitioner, along with other co-accused demanded money from him, attacked him, and robbed him of Rs.1,250/- at knife point. Hence this case.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of bail.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for respondent would submit that the petitioner / accused was already arrested. He would also submit that if he is released on bail, he would hamper the investigation and tamper the witnesses. However, he would vehemently opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made by both counsel and also considering gravity of offences committed by the petitioner and the fact that the petitioner was already arrested and the investigation is not yet completed and if he is released on bail, there is possibility of tampering the witnesses and hampering the investigation, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 11.09.2025 rna 2/4
