ORDER

The present Contempt Petition has been filed against the order dated 28.04.2014 in W.P.No.11939 of 2006. The operative portion of the order passed by this Court on 28.04.2014 which reads as under:- 1/3

16.In the result, the writ petition is dismissed and the order passed by the first respondent Labour Court stands confirmed. The petitioner corporation is directed to re-instate the second respondent-employee in service with continuity of service and other attendant benefits. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, W.P.M.P.No.13552 of 2006 and W.V.M.P.No.335 of 2007 are closed.

2.The learned counsel for the respondent submits that the order has been complied with and that the petitioner has been re-instated together with continuity of service and other attendant benefits. However, he submits that there is a delay as the order has been complied only on 10.10.2019. Since there is a substantial compliance of the order as the petitioner has been absorbed, I am of the view, nothing survives for further adjudication in this contempt petition.

3.Therefore, this Contempt Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to workout his remedy in accordance with law. SD/- ASSISTANT REGISTRAR(COMM.
