ORDER
By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. In view of the order that this Court proposes to pass and also the limited relief that is sought to be granted, notice to respondent Nos.4 and 5 is dispensed with.
2. The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct first respondent to pass orders on the basis of the report submitted by the second respondent in proceedings Na.Ka.No.1441/2024/A dated 05.06.2025 within a stipulated time as fixed by this court.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner submitted a representation dated 11.09.2023 before the second respondent seeking deletion of the name of respondents 4 and 5 from Patta No.977 with respect to property comprised in R.S.No.949/1A, situated at Rasathavalasu Village, 2/6
Kangayam Taluk. Pursuant thereto, the second respondent conducted an enquiry and submitted a report dated 05.06.2025 to the first respondent. However, no action has been taken by first respondent. Hence, petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

At the outset, it is submitted by learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 to 3 that on the basis of the above representation dated 11.09.2023 submitted by petitioner, a report has been obtained from the Tahsildar by the second respondent and on that basis, the second respondent has forwarded a report dated 05.06.2025 to the first respondent and the first respondent would consider and pass orders keeping in view the report submitted by second and third respondent within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

In view of the limited relief that is prayed, this court is inclined to dispose of the writ petition with following directions: i) The first respondent shall pass orders keeping in view the report submitted by second and third respondents dated 05.06.2025, after issuing notice and affording a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, respondents 4 and 5 3/6
and all other interested parties including rival claimants, if any. ii) Though facts have been set out in affidavit, in view of the limited relief that is sought to be granted, I do not propose to examine the same, lest it may influence the authority. The authority shall independently consider the facts and law set out in the matter and pass appropriate order in accordance with law including but not limited to the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act and Rules.
iii) The above exercise shall be completed/appropriate orders passed within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy.
iv) It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. Rights and contentions of the petitioner and all other interested parties are left open.
6. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
