By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 18.10.2016 seeking deletion of bogus voters/false entries in the voters list of Vengaivasal Panchayat on merits well before the Local Body Elections schedule.

3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Advocate General appearing on behalf of the respondents.

4.The petitioner has made a representation to the respondents on 18.10.2016 for deletion of bogus voters/false entries in the voters list of Vengaivasal Panchayat before the Local Body Elections schedule, as no orders have been passed by the respondents, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.

5.In view of the relief sought for by the petitioner in this petition, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.10.2016, as expeditiously as possible and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law. 6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
