The petitioners apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 143, 188, 353, 448 and 506(i) of IPC in Crime No.8 of 2015 on the file of the respondent police and hence, seek anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the occurrence had taken place on 04.04.2015 at 8.30 hrs before the official residence of the Hon'ble Chief Justice of our High Court. In this connection, certain members of the Bar have been included as accused based on the complaint of the Personal Security Officer, namely Vincent Jabadass.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners have been implicated in this case. The petitioners are the Member of the Bar and they will not indulge in any un-lawful activity. It is further submitted that certain co-accused have already been granted bail.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the co-accused have been granted bail by this Court with certain conditions.

5.Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners with certain conditions.

vs 6.Accordingly, the petitioners are ordered to be released on bail in the event of their arrest or on their appearance before the learned XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet and on each of them executing a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Magistrate concerned and the petitioners shall appear before the learned XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai on Monday to Friday at 10.30 a.m. until further orders. The petitioners shall comply with the condition stipulated under Section 438 Cr.P.C. scrupulously.

7.The petitioners shall appear before the concerned Magistrate within a period of 15 days from the date on which the order copy made ready, failing which, the petition for anticipatory bail stands dismissed. 20.04.2016 vs Crl.O.P.No.8497 of 2016
