Prayer in W.P.No.17214 of 2013:Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus Calling for the records relating to the impugned proceedings issued by the 2nd respondent herein in Na.Ka.No. 04404/E1/2012 dated 05.06.2012 and quash the same in so far as the petitioner is concerned and to issue consequential direction to the respondents herein to promote the petitioner as Assistant Elementary Educational Officer as per seniority construing his 2 years Diploma in Teacher Education as equivalent to +2 (Higher Secondary).

J U D G M E N T
(Judgment of the Court was delivered by K.K. SASIDHARAN,J.) The writ petition filed by the respondent was allowed by the learned Single Judge and a direction was issued to treat Diploma in Teacher Education equivalent to Plus Two course. 2.
When the appeal is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate, by placing reliance on G.O.(Ms) No. 165 School Education (SE3(1) Department dated 15 October 2014 submitted that the issue is now settled on account of the decision taken by the Government to treat Diploma in Teacher Education equivalent to Plus Two course.
