O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a direction to the first respondent to de-freeze the bank account of the petitioner maintained in the second respondent bank.

2. Heard Mr.R.Vivekananthan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the first respondent.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the bank account of the petitioner was freezed on 19.09.2022 in the course of investigation in Crime No.181 of 2021 and the same was also intimated to the jurisdictional Court on the same day. 2/4

4. The investigation has been completed and final report has been filed before the Metropolitan Magistrate for Special Court CCB & CBCID cases, Egmore, Chennai and the same was taken on file in C.C.No.2776 of 2023. This Court had entertained the quash petition and stayed the proceedings.

5. In view of the above, the bank account of the petitioner cannot continue to be freezed and the petitioner has to be allowed to operate the bank account. In view of the same, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to intimate the second respondent forthwith to defreeze bank account of the petitioner.

This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above directions.
