..Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1 to 3 respondents to fix the seniority of the petitioner taking into account the date of enlistment/appointment as Police Constable Grade II and consequently revise the seniority and promote the petitioner herein as Police Constable Grade I, Head Constable, Sub Inspector and Inspector respectively with all monetary and other benefits with effect from the date on which his juniors got promotion as Police Constable Grade I, Head Constable Grade I, Sub Inspector and Inspector.

O R D E R

In view of the endorsement made by the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner to withdraw the petition, this Court has granted permission to withdraw the writ petition.

2. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn and liberty is granted to the petitioner to make a fresh application and thereafter, to approach this Court for appropriate remedy in the manner known to law. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
