The petitioner herein was arrested on 30.03.2025 for the alleged offence punishable under Section 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(C), 25 and 29(1) of 1/4
Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 in Crime No.63 of 2025 on the file of the respondent, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused were found in possession of 60 kgs of Ganja. Hence, the case. 3.When the matter was taken up for hearing there was no representation for the petitioner.
4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent filed the counter affidavit and submitted that the contraband involved in this case is commercial quantity and there are 12 previous cases pending against the petitioner, out of which 6 cases are NDPS offence. Hence, he opposed to grant bail to the petitioner. 5.Considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner and the huge quantity of contraband and also considering the fact that there are 12 previous cases pending against the petitioner, out of which 6 cases are NDPS offence, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 24.09.2025 smv 2/4
