Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, to direct respondents 4 and 5 to disburse the insurance claim amount to all the farmers who paid the premium amount in the State of Tamil Nadu within a short time and also to direct the respondents to pay compensation for the delay of disbursal of the insurance amount to the farmers in the State of Tamil Nadu.

[Order of the Court was made by Dr.Vineet Kothari,J.] Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of the statement made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondents 5 and 6 on the last date of hearing i.e., 18.12.2018 that the amount of insurance claim has been paid to the claimants, the present Public Interest Litigation petition filed by the petitioner may be closed. Other side has no objection.

2. Accordingly, this Public Interest Litigation petition is closed, without any further orders. No costs.
