Writ Petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.09.2019 to promote the petitioner as Deputy Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Department.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he is presently working as Assistant Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Department at Arulmighu Lakshmi Narasimhar Swamy Thirukoil, Sholingar. The respondents have called for details of the eligible Assistant Commissioners for appointment as Deputy Commissioners. The petitioner is eligible for the said promotion. Since the respondents have not considered the name of the petitioner for promotion, he gave a representation dated 04.09.2019 requesting them to promote the petitioner as Deputy Commissioner. However, the petitioner's representation was not considered by the respondents till date. Hence this writ petition.
4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate orders within the reasonable time.
5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court hereby directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.09.2019 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
