O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 07.03.2024 and pass appropriate orders, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court, so as to issue a community certificate to the petitioner as belonging to Hindu Kurumans 1/4
Schedule Tribe Community.
2. Mr.R.Kumaravel, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that she belongs to Hindu Kurumans (ST) Community and her father was issued with a community certificate to that effect as early as on 07.06.1977. More so, elder brothers and younger brother of her father were also granted such certificates. Her father was elected as President, Kadrimangalam Village Panchayat, which was declared as reserve constituency. Her father has made several representations to the respondents for issuance of community certificate to the petitioner, her sister and brothers after producing relationship certificate obtained from Tahsildar that was sought by the respondent. Followed by the representations made by the petitioner's father, she has send a reminder dated 07.03.2024. Since there was no reply for the said representation, the petitioner is before this Court.
4. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent seeks a reasonable time for the respondent to consider and pass 2/4
appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner shall produce all the documents to the respondent along with a copy of the representation dated 07.03.2024 within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and upon receipt of the same, the respondent is directed to take a decision in respect of issuance of community certificate, by scrutinizing the documents to be produced by the petitioner and giving an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks thereafter.
