O R D E R
Pending trial, the petitioner was granted bail for the offence under Section 302 I.P.C. After committal, when the case was pending in S.C. No.128 of 2023 on the file of the learned I Additional District and Sessions Judge, Cuddalore, the petitioner jumped bail. Consequently, a Non-Bailable Warrant was issued on 29.08.2023. He was secured after one year and remanded to 1/4
prison on 01.09.2024. Thereafter, he sought bail, which was considered by this Court on 26.03.2025, granting bail on the condition that he should execute a bond for a sum of Rs.15,000/- with two sureties each for the like sum. The present petition has been filed seeking modification of the bail condition, stating that the petitioner is unable to arrange two sureties.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that none of his relatives or friends are willing to stand as sureties for him.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submits that after securing the petitioner, the trial has commenced and the matter is now posted for examination of the Investigating Officer.
4. Taking into consideration the aforesaid facts, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is allowed. The bail condition is modified to the extent that the petitioner shall execute one surety for a sum of Rs.15,000/- and a bond for a sum of Rs.15,000/-. He shall also report before the I Additional Sessions Court, Cuddalore, until the completion of the trial. 20.08.2025 nvi 2/4
