This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents herein to consider the application No.200032910824309 of the petitioner herein dated 02.08.2024 for transferring the name of the petitioner in Electricity Service Connection in S.C.No.0329100174 for the property in S.F.No.248/1 situated at Annur Taluk, Coimbatore, currently existing in the name of Kandasamy, who is one of the previous owner of the petitioner herein

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has purchased the subject property from one Kandasamy and obtained electricity service connection in S.C.No.0329100174, however, the electricity service connection has not been transferred in the name of the petitioner and it is standing in the name of the previous owner, namely, Kandasamy and therefore, the petitioner has made an application dated

02.08.2024, however, the same has not been considered so far. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the respondents are directed to dispose of the application of the petitioner, dated 02.08.2024, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents has no serious objection for such an order being passed by this Court.

5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the second respondent to consider the application of the petitioner, dated 02.08.2024 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
