ORDER

(Order of the court was made by HULUVADI G.RAMESH, J.) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Prathapkumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who is directed to take notice on behalf of the respondent.

2. The writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to issue community certificate to the petitioner that he belongs to Kurumans (ST) Community based upon the proceedings of the District Level Vigilance Committee passed in respect of the petitioner's blood relative G.Sivaraj in Proceedings No. Na.Ka.Ke5/10468/91 dated 2.5.2007.

The case of the petitioner is that he belongs to Kurumans Community, which falls under the Scheduled Tribes based on the constitution Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes Order 1950, as amended by the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes Orders (Amendment) Act, 1976, and his blood relative by name G.Sivaraj had obtained such certificate and his community https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

status was verified by the District Level Vigilance Committee, Vellore and such being the case, though he preferred an application on 14.9.2016 to the respondent seeking issuance of such community certificate to him, it was not considered by the respondent and hence, he is constrained to file the present writ petition.

Therefore, it is for the respondent to collect the details and other materials from the petitioner and after necessary verification in regard to issuance of community certificates and after affording personal hearing to the petitioner, to do the needful in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
