When the matter came up for hearing today, the petitioner as well as the respondents 2 & 3/defacto complainants are personally present before this Court and identified themselves. They also produced their identity proofs before this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the 1st respondent and the second respondent appears in-person and on behalf of the 3rd respondent.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that pending proceedings in Crime No.501 of 2018 on the file of the Inspector of Police, J-12, Kanathur Police Station, Chennai, the 2nd & 3rd respondents and the petitioner have amicably settled the issue among themselves and the 2nd & 3rd respondents have also filed a compromise affidavit dated 24.09.2019 stating that he has no objection if the proceedings in Crime No. 501 of 2018 on the file of the 1st respondent is quashed.

4.Recording the statements made by the respondents 2 & 3 in the affidavit filed by his dated 24.09.2019, the entire proceedings in Crime No.501 of 2018 on the file of the 1st respondent is quashed. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
