By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of Mandamus directing 2nd and 3rd respondents to consider representation of the petitioner dated 05.07.2024 seeking issuance of separate patta in respect of the property comprised in Survey No.465/2B.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that petitioner submitted a representation before the respondents on 05.07.2024 seeking issuance of separate patta in respect of the property comprised in Survey No.465/2B, measuring an extent of 0.05 cents, situated at Padavedu Village, Polur Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District. It is stated that the same has not been considered by the respondents till date. Aggrieved, petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

At the outset, it is submitted by Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents that petitioner may have to submit an online application seeking issuance of separate patta in respect of the subject property. He would further submit that if any such application is made, the same would be 2/6
considered by the respondents and appropriate orders would be passed in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.
5. In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with the following directions. It is open to the petitioner to take out a fresh online application seeking issuance of separate patta in respect of the subject property before the appropriate authority. If any such application is filed, the appropriate respondent shall consider the same and pass orders in accordance with law after affording the petitioner and other interested parties a reasonable opportunity of hearing within a period of 8 weeks from the date of submission of such application by petitioner. 5.1. Though facts have been set out in affidavit, in view of the limited relief that is sought to be granted, I do not propose to examine the same, lest it may influence the authority. The authority shall independently consider the facts and law set out in the application/representation and pass appropriate order in accordance with law including but not limited to the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act and Rules.
5.2. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. Rights and 3/6
contentions of the petitioner and all other interested parties are left open. No costs.
