PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records leading to the detention of the petitioner's son Mr.B.Rajkumar, S/o.Bernard Joseph who has been detained under Act 14/1982 as a "Goonda Offender" vide detention order C.No.99/G/IS/2024 made by the 1st respondent in his order dated 20.08.2024 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the body and person of the said detenue before this Court and thereafter set him at liberty from the Central Prison, Coimbatore.

ORDER

Mr.E.Raj Thilak, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that the impugned order of detention has already been revoked by the competent Authority and thus, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken.
