This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking direction to the respondent to pass orders disposing the representations dated 2nd May 2024 and 09.08.2024, given to them in response to the notice in Na.Ka.No./1757/2022/A1 dated 05.04.2024 with a request to reconsider the enhancement of the tax assessment.
2. Mr.P.S.Prabu, learned Standing Counsel takes notice on behalf of the Respondent.
3. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
4. The learned counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Petitioner sent a representation dated 02.05.2024 & 09.08.2024 to the Respondent with a request to reconsider the enhancement of the tax assessed to the petitioner's property, despite the same, the Respondent has not taken any action on the representations made by the Petitioner and therefore the Petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking for the aforesaid relief.

5. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Respondent has submitted that appropriate action will be taken to consider the Petitioner's representations dated 02.05.2024 & 09.08.2024.
6. Heard both sides. Perused the records.
7. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side, without going into the merits of the case, this court directs the Respondent concerned to dispose of the representations of the Petitioner dated 02.05.2024 & 09.08.2024 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing an opportunity of hearing to the Petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
8. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
