Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the impugned order dated 12.12.2018 in O.Mu.No.A1/2636/2018 passed by the 2nd respondent, quash the same and consequently directing the respondents herein to grant patta to the petitioner in respect of land comprised in R.S.No.2383/6, Purasawalkam Village, Purasawalkam Taluk, Chennai District. The petitioner herein seeks patta for the land classified as Government poramboke. The petitioner's request has been rejected by the Tahsildar vide communication dated 12.12.2018. Hence, this writ petition is filed to quash the said order and grant patta.

2. When the land is classified as Government Poramboke and in use of the Corporation, there is no scope of granting patta to the petitioner.
