This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 02.05.2024, wherein the petitioner has requested for the revocation of the order of suspension and to post the petitioner in some non-sensitive post.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents. 2/5
3.The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as Village Administrative Officer in the year 2019. He was transferred to Agaram Sigoor Village at Perambalur District in the year 2022. An FIR came to be registered by the V&AC, Perambalur District in Crime No.4 of 2023 on 12.09.2023. The petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody in this case. The same resulted in the issuance of suspension order dated 13.09.2023 by the 2nd respondent. 4.The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner has been kept under prolonged suspension for more than a year. The petitioner made various representations requesting for the revocation of the order of suspension. However, the same was not considered and hence, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 5.
Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 02.05.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
