By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents 1 and 2, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider his representation dated 20.06.2024 and pass final orders within the time fixed by this Court.

It is the case of the petitioner that land comprised in S.Nos.365/2, 365/5, 367/1A, 367/1B, 367/1C situated at Yethapur Village, Bethanayakampalayam, Salem District was originally settled in favour of petitioner's forefathers by the British Government and the petitioner and others have been in possession and enjoyment of the same. It is further stated by the petitioner that during updation of revenue records under UDR Scheme, the names of private respondents 3 to 19 had been wrongly entered in the revenue records. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation before the 2nd respondent dated 20.06.2024 seeking deletion of names of the private respondents and issue of patta in the name of the petitioner and others, who are in possession of the said property. The said representation has not been considered by the 2nd respondent till date. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who is taking notice for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 20.06.2024 will be considered by the 2nd respondent on its own merits and in accordance with law, within the time fixed by this Court.

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.06.2024 and pass final orders on its own merit and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner and respondents 3 to 19 and other interested parties.
6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
