Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, directing the respondents to award Selection Grade Scale of Pay as the petitioner has rendered 10 years of service, in the category of Middle School Head Master, for the period from 1.6.2008 to 31.5.2018, with consequential Revision of Pension, by considering petitioner's representation dated 03.12.2018 and pass orders.

O R D E R

The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner joined the service as Secondary Grade Teacher in the year 1986 and promoted to the post of Elementary School Head Master in the year 2003. Further the petitioner was posted as Tamil Pandit, in the Panchayat Union Middle School in the year 2007. Further he was promoted to the post of Middle School Head Master on 01.06.2008. Thereafter on reaching the age of Superannuation, on completion of 10 years, in the category of Middle School Head Master, the petitioner retired from service, on 31.05.2018. After retirement the petitioner made a representation on 03.12.2018 to award selection grade scale to pay in the category of Middle School Head Master but till date his representation was not considered, hence the present Writ Petition is filed.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice to issue direction to the respondents to dispose of the representation dated 03.12.2018 on merits and in accordance with law.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, I am inclined to issue direction to the respondents to dispose of the representation dated 03.12.2018, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
