ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the Respondent to disburse the Gratuity, Special Provident Fund, Encashment of Earned Leave and Encashment of Unearned Leave on private affairs to the petitioner.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the first petitioner died on 31.12.2022 and subsequent to his death his legal heirs have been impleaded as petitioners 2 to 4.

3. It is submitted by the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent that the 1st petitioner who was facing a criminal case on the allegation of corruption.

4. Since the charges against the 1st petitioner got abated due to his death, his terminal benefits are liable to be disbursed to his legal heirs. Hence the respondent is directed to settle the terminal benefits of deceased P.Pandurangan to the petitioners 2 to 4 within a period of four weeks.

5. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed and the respondent is directed to disburse the terminal benefits of deceased P.Pandurangan to Page No.2 of 4
