Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, a case was already registered in Crime No.32 of 2016 for the offences punishable under Sections 4 of Tamilnadu Prohibition of Charging Exorbitant Interest Act 2003 and 506(i) IPC and the same is under investigation.

4. Since a case was already registered on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, the prayer that has been made in both the petitions have become infructuous. Hence, both the criminal original petitions are closed.
