PRAYER:

Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying to (i)direct the FTC-III Metropolitan Magistrate Court at Saidapet Chennai to dispose of Crl.M.P.No.134 of 2019 in C.C.No.7124 of 2018 filed by the petitioner within a reasonable time stipulated by this Court.

(ii)commence the trial immediately and to dispose the case as expeditiously as possible as pending in the above said C.C.No.7124 of 2018 or within a time limit to be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The prayer sought for in the present writ petition has become infructuous since, the C.M.P.No.134 of 2019 has been dismissed and therefore, the question of fixing a time limit for disposal does not arise. Such a statement that CMP has been dismissed, made by the learned counsel for the respondent, is hereby recorded and the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.

2.The Trial Court shall endeavor to complete the main proceedings in C.C.No.7124 of 2018 as expeditiously as possible, in any event, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
