O R D E R

The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to register the complaint dated 31.08.2015 and to take effective steps to safeguard the secured assets by providing police protection to prevent future thefts.

2. The petitioner herein has lodged a complaint as against unknown persons on the allegation of theft. Though the complaint was lodged on 31.08.2015, till date, no action was taken on the said complaint. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present petition.

3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and the learned counsel for the petitioner.

4. When the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, a case was already registered in Crime No.1488 of 2015 for the offences punishable under Section 380 I.P.C. and the same is under investigation.

5. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the fourth respondent to expedite investigation in the case in Crime No.1488 of 2015 and complete the same and file a final report as early as possible. 6.

The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
